Rebecca Taylor dresses A-list celebrities, puts on shows at New York Fashion Week, and owns boutiques in Manhattan's trendy Meatpacking District and on upscale Madison Avenue. But somehow, the New Zealand-born designer, who lives in Brooklyn with her artist husband and three kids, still finds time to be a doting mom.
Who is a celebrity mom you've dressed that you find especially stylish and why?
This might be cheating since she's not a mom quite yet, but Catherine Middleton. Her maternity style is so put-together and classic, and I can't wait to see how her style evolves once she becomes a mother.
How has being a mother inspired your designs?
I think you value versatility in designs more...it helps to have pieces in your wardrobe that can carry you from dropping your kids off at school, to the workplace, to dinner, etc.
