Fall Wardrobe Style Tip

The leather jacket is always an ESSENTIAL at Fisher & Company. The leather jacket is a major investment, but it never goes out of style, and you can wear it in the spring, fall, and, winter. One of the ways we love to see the leather jacket worn, is with a classic white blouse, and a pencil skirt. A fabulous way to mix it up for the office! This look works in both spring and fall. F&C STYLE TIP: Find it a little chilly in the morning? Add a chunky knit scarf or a fur collar to your leather jacket.

A Fur Vest Instead of a Blazer?

Instead of wearing a blazer to the office, try wearing a fur vest. Going to the theater? Instead of black wool coat, replace it with the fur vest.

1 Sweater = Many Possibilities

You know the white blouse is classic, because you can pair it with any trouser, skirt, slim pant, and denim, and it always looks fabulous. Did you ever think you could do the same with a fitted cashmere or fine knit sweater? Yes, you can! Give your wardrobe more options, and switch up any blouse with a knit. Wear your knit sweater under any of your blazers. Knit sweaters look sophisticated with leather skirts, kitten heels, and a statement necklace. Take that same knit sweater and pair it with a tailored blazer, skinny denim, the same kitten heels, and statement necklace. Now that's wardrobing!

A New Way To Wear: The Silk Scarf

The silk scarf has taken a backseat in the fashion world for the past few years, but for Fall '12 many designers have resurrected the classic silk scarf. If you are purchasing it now, we suggest vibrant, rich colours, now if you are lucky enough to own a vintage silk scarf (Hermes would be even more special!), then this is the time to bring it out! At Fisher & Company, we suggest wearing the silk scarf with everything! Don't save it just for your suits or more formal occasions. Wear it with your blazers, jeans, chunky knits, slim ankle pants, trouser pants, you see where we are headed...

The Power of the Blazer

F&C Style Tip - Use the same blazer for all looks.

Mismatch your blazer and dress. If you own a navy or black blazer, pair it up
with any of your dresses, to give yourself more variety in your closet.

To give your suit a more relaxed, casual look - add a loose white tee underneath. We don't recommend this for the office, this would be for a more casual setting.

Your blazer will always look good with jeans. The look is perfect for day or night.

Mix your blazer with any of your fuller or pencil skirts, add a turtleneck, fitted cashmere sweater, or classic blouse.

Don't Always Depend On Black

Yes the colour black is on trend for the season, and yes black is usually your wardrobe go-to colour, but fall is full of other fabulous colours such as mustard yellow, burgundy, plum, emerald green, burnt orange, crimson red, and camel. When wearing these bold colours, instead of using black as your basic, try heather grey or charcoal. Sometimes black can be too harsh, whereas heather grey and charcoal will give your look a warmer touch. Of course you can still add black accessories!

Lessons in Wardrobing

An essential that embodied casual chic in the summer was Elizabeth and James Karina belted silk-crepe dress. Slip on flat leather sandals, and a gold cuff, and voila you were ready for any occasion! Now that it is mid September, don't get ready to store that dress for next year. How to wear the dress for fall? It's easy. Add a black blazer, black opaque tights, switch the belt to either black, purple, python, or leopard, and don't forget your footwear - tall boot or ankle boot. Ready for another look? Switch the blazer to any other blazer that works, do the same with the belt, add a statement necklace or again you have another look. Now add a leather jacket or fur vest, forget the belt, and add some long strands of beads, and suede platforms. The dress can become a tunic, all you need to do is add a skinny black pant.

You don't have to own this exact dress, you can do this with any of your dresses that are hanging in your closet. Make sure you have all the right extras. Contact any of our F&C Style Experts and they will assist you. Remember all it takes is 9 KEY pieces and you will get 36 DIFFERENT looks.

From SUMMER To FALL

Just because it's September and the chilly weather has arrived, doesn't mean you have to put away your go-to summer dresses. By adding black opaque tights, ankle boots (or whatever your fall footwear is), and a chunky knit or blazer, you can pretty much wear any of your summer dresses into the new season. STYLIST TIP: Now you want to make sure that the fabric isn't too summery. You want to make sure that the fabric has some weight. Now that's WARDROBING!

Warm-weather dress can easily transition to fall.

Take that fave sweatshirt & make it edgy with leather pants.

Have your stripe tee fall-ready by pairing it with black essentials.

The NEW Black

Fashion is always evolving, but you can always count on classic black! However for fall, you are seeing the new black. It's all about black on black - Carbon, caviar, and sable is the new style directive. This season you are wearing black from head to toe, it's sophisticated, seductive, and edgy. Mastering the look is easy - It's all about mixing black textures, such as tweeds, leather, sheer, sequins, and knits...just to name a few!
