What to do with winter clothing

Spring has sprung, which means its time to clean! Storing out of season clothes properly should protect them from dust, heat, humidity, and the biggest threat of all, bugs. Cleaning your clothing properly before storing it, hungry insects will eat synthetics if they're seasoned with food stains or perspiration. Choose storage containers large enough so clothing doesn't get crushed or wrinkled. Look for cedar products to repel insects, but keep in mind they need to be replaced every 3 months. You also want to make sure that you fold your clothing properly.

What needs to be stored? Chunky knits, cable--knit sweaters, winter coats, wool pants, wool blazers, anything that would be too warm or heavy for spring/summer.

F&C Storage Tip: Make sure you label each of your containers accordingly so they are easy to find, and are sealed tightly.

If you want to save yourself time everyday and get a little more sanity in your day, make sure that you always put your keys and wallet/purse in the same place when you come into the house.
