“I’ve been trying to push the jean jacket for years,” says Marcus Wainwright. How many? Well, three—or ever since he and his Rag & Bone partner David Neville put one in their collection and, according to Wainwright, “hardly anyone bought it.” As stubborn as they are talented, the duo are still designing the denim basic, and if the way women are dressing lately is any indication, their black acid-wash iteration for spring should outsell its predecessors substantially. The jean jacket is back.
